Description

**PGP DRYPROOF MASONRY WATERPROOFER Solvent-Based Cementitious Waterproofing Coating**

PGP DRYPROOF MASONRY WATERPROOFER is a ready-to-use solvent-based cementitious waterproofing paint and coating designed to provide effective moisture protection for masonry and cementitious building surfaces. Its special formulation based on Portland cement and acrylic copolymer resins provides effective waterproofing even under negative hydrostatic pressure.

Suitable for interior and exterior applications above or below ground level, it provides a twin anchoring mechanism to cementitious substrates. It can also be applied to slightly damp surfaces, although optimum performance is achieved on dry substrates.

**Features & Benefits**

• Withstands positive and negative hydrostatic pressure
• Withstands negative hydrostatic pressure up to 7 m water head (10 psi)
• Suitable for interior and exterior use
• Suitable for above and below ground applications
• Allows the substrate to breathe
• Twin anchoring mechanism to cementitious substrates
• Can be applied to slightly damp surfaces
• Once cured, it can be overpainted, plastered or tiled
• Ready to use – no thinning required
• Can be applied by brush, roller or spray

**Suitable for**

• Basement walls and foundations
• Swimming pools and fountains
• Roof tops
• Water tanks and drainage areas
• Garages and driveways
• Exposed walls
• Cement and mortar surfaces
• Concrete and concrete blocks
• Common unpainted cementitious masonry substrates

**Not suitable for**

• Previously painted surfaces unless the existing coating has been properly removed and the substrate prepared
• Substrates other than the specified cementitious surfaces without prior compatibility assessment

**Technical Specifications**

• Type: Solvent-based cementitious waterproofing paint / coating
• Base: Solvent-based dispersion of Portland cement and acrylic copolymer resins
• Form: Viscous liquid
• Colours: White, light blue
• Specific gravity: 1.56 ± 0.2 g/ml
• Solid content: 48–50%
• Thinning: Do not thin
• Touch dry: 3–4 hours at 20°C and 50% RH
• Recoat: 12–24 hours at 20°C and 50% RH
• Final curing: approximately 48 hours at 20°C and 50% RH
• Application temperature: +10°C to +35°C
• Application: Brush, roller or spray

**Instructions for Use**

• Surfaces must be free from dirt, dust, grease, oil, frost and existing paint.
• Repair holes and cracks with a suitable hydraulic cement.
• Stir thoroughly before and during application.
• Do not thin.
• Apply two coats.
• For optimum penetration into substrate pores, apply the first coat by brush.
• Allow at least 12 hours between coats.
• The second coat may be applied by brush, roller or spray.

**Important Notes**

• Apply only to suitable unpainted cementitious substrates.
• Slightly damp substrates are acceptable, although optimum results are achieved on dry surfaces.
• For exterior applications, apply during a rain-free period.
• Low temperatures and high humidity will increase drying times.

**Coverage**

• Approximately 2.5–3 m²/L depending on substrate absorption.

**Cleaning**

• Remove as much material as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning.
• Clean equipment immediately after use with white spirit or turpentine.
